This foursome was created by Simon Cowell and consists of Carlos Marin (a Spanish baritone), French pop singer Sebastien Izambard, Swiss tenor Urs Buhler, and David Miller a tenor from the U.S. If you hadn’t heard about Il Divo yet, you’re in for a BIG TREAT. After a break from touring and recording they have finally released “The Promise.” With such songs as The Winner Takes It All, Hallelujah, The Power of Love and Amazing Grace, it’s destined to become a hit around the world. Il Divo that Pop Operatic foursome has released their finest album yet. Izambard: I like all sorts of music but I definitely like more pop rock like Coldplay, Radio Head, Kings of Leon. Izambard: I like opera and I like heavy metal. What other kinds of music do you listen to? It's a good stress relief so I will always have my gym equipment with me.ĪP: Your known for your ballads. It balances me well against the touring and the stress. Marin: My phone! I am a phone addict so it's like always on the phone speaking back home to my parents or my wife to whatever. What do you have to take with you on the road?
You need to get away and have a little free time and when you come back together you really enjoy it.ĪP: You're going on another world tour next year. When you spend 12 to 15 hours all together between the traveling and the performing and the interviews then you feel a bit stuffy. but it's really important and healthy to make some space. Izambard: On the previous tour we went on a safari together in South Africa. We can have a good time now and we can really relax when we make our music.ĪP: Do you spend time together outside of performing? we had language barriers, culture barriers (the members hail from Spain, Switzerland, France and the United States), different musical tastes, different ideas of what would make a good album and over the course of these five albums _ if you count the Christmas album _ we've really grown together as friends. Besides having solo careers and solo egos. Miller: We had a lot of things that we had to overcome.
Was it hard to go from solo singers to a foursome? You each sang on your own before coming together as a group.
